Based upon vigorous research activities not only in DOCOMO Euro-Labs but also NTT DOCOMO, we are actively contributing to international standardization activities such as OMA, 3GPP or ETSI aiming towards realization of next generation systems evolving from or beyond 3G systems. With our activities we intend to endorse sustainable growth and welfare of societies.
Even in the midst of a rapidly emerging mobile communication market, for the user a guarantee of the ability to function all over the world including the personal service environment portability is essential, which leads to the necessity of global consensus or standardization activities. In order to fulfill market expectations, more diverse services in a shorter deployment timescale, not only creation of a vision or discussion of technical issues but also refinements for standardizing procedures is required. |
