Twitter and Google+ Social Plugins
“Facebook” means the social network facebook.com and its respective national domains (e.g. facebook.de) of the provider Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.
“Twitter” means the social network twitter.com and its respective national domains (e.g. twitter.de) of the provider Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.
“Google+” means the social network as provided by google.com and its respective national domains (e.g. google.de) of the provider Google Inc. („Google“), Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA,
Together, “Facebook”, “Twitter” and “Google+” are hereafter referred to as “Social Networks”, or, in singular, as “Social Network”.
DOCOMO Euro-Labs has implemented Social Networks’ Plugins („Plugins“) on its Websites based on Article 6 (1) f) GDPR. Such Plugins are buttons provided by each Social Network, which can be implemented on one’s own websites or blogs. Visitors of these websites and blogs can click on the buttons and thus can share their interests on the respective Social Network or with their friends on the respective Social Network, if the visitor is or will be member of such Social Network. Aforesaid Plugins are for example indicated for Facebook by the white “f” on a blue tile or by the “thumbs up” I-Like-button. In addition you’ll find an overview of current used Facebook Plugins on Facebook’s developer page (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/). For Twitter, a Plugin is for example indicated by the tweet button or the follow button, both having a blue bird on a grey tile. An overview of current used Twitter Plugins can be found on Twitter’s developer page (https://dev.twitter.com/). Google+ for example indicates its Plugins by a red “g+1” on a grey tile. In addition you’ll find an overview of current used Google Plugins on Google’s developer page (https://developers.google.com/+/plugins/).
On our Websites, we use the “2 clicks for more privacy” approach. I.e. you have to activate a certain Plugin by clicking to transfer information to the respective Social Network. During the visit of one of our websites and in case you activated a certain Plugin, an automatic connection between your browser and the respective Social Network’s servers will be established. Then the content of the Plugin will be transmitted to the Browser of the visitor and by this way integrated into the webpage enabling such Social Network to receive data and information about your visit of the website (Plugin-process). After activating, this Plugin-process is an automatic process. I.e. data transfer to Social Media may take place no matter whether you are a member of such Social Media and if so whether you are logged in to your respective Social Media account during the visit of the Website or whether you interact with the Plugin (e.g. by clicking “Like”). If you are a Social Network member and logged in to your respective Social Network account while visiting our website, your visit can be assigned to your Social Network account, even if you do not interact with the plugin (e.g. by clicking “Like”). If you interact with the Plugin (e.g. by clicking “Like”), the corresponding information will be transferred to and stored by the respective Social Network.
Due to the direct interaction between your browser and the respective Social Network we have no influence on the extent of Personal Data processed by the Social Network. Based on our current knowledge such data may include i.a. information regarding the visited website, the visit’s date and time as well as further browser related information. The respective Social Network may furthermore be able to retrieve data through the Plugins such as the IP-address and information regarding the operating system of the visitor.
For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and procession by Facebook, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy, please find Facebook’s notice about data protection at http://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and procession by Twitter, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy, please find Twitter’s notice about data protection at http://twitter.com/privacy.
For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and procession by Google, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy, please find Google’s notice about data protection at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.
If you are a certain Social Network’s member and do not want such Social Network to assign the data concerning your visit to our website to your Social Network account, please do not activate the respective Plugin by clicking when visiting our Websites.
